How to play Star Puzzle
Star Puzzle is a logic puzzle also known as Star Battle. The board is divided into colored regions, and you place stars according to the rules.
- Every row has exactly one star.
- Every column has exactly one star.
- Every colored region has exactly one star.
- Stars may not touch each other, not even diagonally.
Controls
With the Star tool, tap a cell to place a star and tap again to remove it. Use Mark dot for cells you know can’t hold a star. Stars that break a rule turn red.
Tips for beginners
- Start with small regions. A region with only a few cells leaves very few places for its star.
- After placing a star, dot out its row, column, region and the 8 cells around it — no other star can go there.
- If a region lies entirely within one row, no other cell in that row can hold a star.
